Bailey Belisle 09/10/2017

Bailey Belisle

Our beautiful angel Bailey Marie Belisle was taken from us far too soon due to a hiking accident. Bailey will be remembered by the many lives she touched through family, friends, and her faith. She was a talented artist, singer, and student as well as someone who enjoyed participating in basketball, volleyball, skiing, soccer, dance, and any other activity she thought would be fun. While our hearts will never be the same we know Bailey is with God dancing and singing. Bailey is survived by her loving parents Corey and Rachel, her brothers Joe and James, and her bestie Elizabeth Belisle. Grandparents Pete and Mary Ridgway, Don and Carol Lindner, and Joe Belisle. Aunts and uncles Chris and Stacey Frautschi, Laura Ridgway and Paul Singerhouse, Barry and Kara Brathol, Melinda Galen, Bob Lindner, and Nate and Katie (Lindner) Blessner. Cousins John and Ashlee Duff, Alyssa Galen, Olivia and Ella Frautschi, Meghan and Cole Brathol, as well as Kaylee and Ava Duff, and Charlie Blessner. She is proceeded in death by her cousin Aleah Galen. We would also like to acknowledge the many special friends and acquaintances that are also grieving the loss of our beautiful daughter. We’ll never be the same but we’ll hold our head up high in her memory to make her proud. We request that any who would like wear “Blue for Bai” and keep it casual to celebrate the great person she was and that they please do so at both the wake and funeral.  In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred for medical and funeral costs: Corey and Rachel Belisle, Westconsin Credit Union, New Richmond Branch.  Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, September 15, 2017 11 am at St. Anne’s Church 141 Church Hill Road Somerset, WI.  Visitation was held on Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 4-8 pm at St. Anne’s Church and on Friday for 1 hr before the service also at the church.  Interment was in St. Anne’s Cemetery.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services Beebe Chapel of New Richmond.

Our family mourns Bailey’s passing. She was a good friend to our grandson, Jacob Siegel. We connected when she called or texted for Jake for a few years, until he got his own phone. She was polite, loyal, intelligent, vibrant, comical, loyal, steadfast, and gave great eye contact. We loved watching her dance. She made a difference in our lives. Thank you for sharing her with us.

I was reading the Duluth news and saw this headline. Such a tragic loss and what a beautiful young woman Bailey is. I am so sorry and can,t begin to fathom the hurt you are going through. Just remember that we have a very loving Father in heaven who loves us so very much..so much so that He gave His only son, Jesus the Messiah, to die for our sins and all the curses and sickness in order to provide us the way into Heaven and eternal life. I pray that you are consoled and hugged by the presence of God during this difficult time. God bless you and your walk with Him.

Psalms 34:18 – The LORD [is] nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

  • Rachel A Harrison Posted September 12, 2017 2:23 pm

I was so saddened to hear about Bailey. Bailey met my son, Cooper Harrison, in Washington, D.C. this past summer. They became instant friends…she called herself a “social butterfly”. Cooper and Bailey have text and snap-chatted every day since his return from Washington. She had a compelling impact in his life, and we are all grieving for your loss of such a beautiful young lady. We are praying for your family. May God give you peace that passes all understanding. God Bless You!

    • Rachel – Baileys momma Posted September 12, 2017 9:15 pm

She truly loved Cooper and the beautiful relationship they shared. Such an impact in such a short time. We looked up how far away Kilgore was within a few hours of coming home so they could reconnect. He was very special to her and I’m sure he knows that. Thank you for reaching out and please know you can again.

      • Rachel A Harrison Posted September 13, 2017 8:19 pm

        Rachel-
My heart is broken for you and your family. Mackenzie, my daughter, felt the same way about Bailey. They became instant friends, The evening we found out this news, my kids were deeply saddened. When Cooper finally fell asleep, i went to his room to go through the many, many text messages that he and Bailey had shared together. In fact, there were so many, I did not even get to the beginning of their story. She had said one day she may come to Texas…and we sure would have LOVED to have her. She seemed so outgoing, adventerous and full of life. Please know we may be far away, but we are here for you, if you EVER need anything. Prayer, words, or if you need someone to listen…we are here. Please know Bailey touched so many lives around the world, her little light will always shine in our hearts in TEXAS! Praying for you continuously!
        Love,
Rachel, Jason, Mackenzie, and Cooper 🙂

So sorry for the loss of your beautiful child. Thinking of your family in this very difficult time!

  • Rose Haase Posted September 12, 2017 6:59 pm

I want to share a prayer that I found when our son died:
O Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you, hoping for all things from your goodness. You make a root flourish beneath the soil and you can make fruitful the darkness in which I find myself today.
I adore you in all Your purposes even without knowing them; Your will be done, not mine. May I be patient! It is so difficult to realize that these trials, heartbreaking as they are, can be turned into blessings.
Lord, give me peace of mind, peace of heart, and peace of soul as I offer you my thoughts, my words, my actions, and yes, Lord, my sufferings. May they all be for Your greater glory. Amen.

  • Janie Milles Posted September 12, 2017 7:23 pm

  • Nick Brouhard Posted September 14, 2017 12:28 am

I’m so very sorry for your tragic loss. I cannot imagine the pain you are feelin. Please know that you have myself and many many friends willing to do anything you may need during this trying period in your lives.
I can imagine that none of this feels real for you. As if you’re being completely covered by a thick, cloudy, haze as you walk through the world on autopilot, not really remembering all that you do as you go about the day. Even as the sun is shining outside, all you can see and feel is a heavy, black, emptiness inside, as images of Bailey continue to flash through your mind like a slideshow of memories, while everything around you reminds you of her.
As you struggle to find meaning in all of this, and relentlessly torture yourselves by playing the cruel mind game of “what if,” try to find comfort in each other, while celebrating Bailey’s life, and laugh while sharing stories of her.
I hope you find some serenity in the many lives she touched.

  • Kat Cloutier Posted September 14, 2017 1:25 am
